Do you ever think nostalgically about manual sewing machines, typewriters, 8-track tapes or tube television sets? Probably not…they were all replaced by something better. Did you ever wonder about the companies that made them? Many of them are gone and forgotten.

What happened?
The market changed and they did not.

Leadership / You
If you, as a leader, are dealing entirely with tactical issues (all the stuff one must do) and ignoring strategic issues (planning/market issues), then you are most likely going to have a hard time surviving in the coming market.

Always remember:
The market is like the weather and you change to deal with it, it will not change for you.
