Your Planning Style

Habits create skills → skills create outcomes → outcomes create $, benefits and a sense of satisfaction.

The problem/event business life cycle habit.

Many (perhaps most) of us are unaware of the habits we create, whether good or bad. When we create a bad habit in business it can cost us a lot of money.

One example of this is operating your business from the problem event approach (many call it management by crisis). This is a very bad habit (and habits create skills and skills create outcomes) that can potentially put you out of business or at the very least create unnecessary business pain.

So how do you know if you’re managing by crisis? If you find too many emergencies seem to “sneak up on you or if you find that often you’re ONLY dealing with issues when you “have to,” there’s a good chance you’ve fallen into a bad habit.

An Alternative
The planning/process systematic approach to business.

Operate your business from a plan that is built on a solid foundation, based on your vision, mission and values. Use a systematic planning and review processes to create outcomes (goals/objectives) that are crystal clear to everyone. The strength of this system is that it works and it can give everyone a better sense of security and opportunity, because challenges, concerns and questions are being dealt with as they arise and before they become emergencies. It creates a much less stressful work environment. And it will soon develop into a good habit.

How do you do it?

Apply and use one of mankind’s oldest innovations…the wheel planning process and read about how it works.

P.S. Everyone wants results. It starts with the right habits.
